2. Four Principles

2. Four Principles

It teaches four important principles about worship, Tawheed and Shirk. Students will learn why Allah alone deserves worship and why worshipping anyone or anything besides Allah is Shirk.

Introduction
Students will learn the importance of asking Allah for beneficial knowledge, good actions and guidance. They will learn about Haneefiyyah, which means turning to Allah alone in worship and staying away from Shirk.

The First Principle

Students will learn that the people the Prophet ﷺ called to Islam believed that Allah was the Creator and Controller of everything. However, this belief alone did not make them Muslims because they worshipped others alongside Allah.

The Second Principle

Students will learn that some people worshipped others because they wanted them to bring them closer to Allah or intercede for them. Students will learn that acts of worship must be directed to Allah alone.

The Third Principle

Students will learn that people worshipped many different things besides Allah, including prophets, righteous people, angels, trees, stones, the sun and the moon. The Prophet ﷺ called all of them to worship Allah alone.

The Fourth Principle

Students will learn about Shirk in times of ease and hardship. They will learn the importance of worshipping and calling upon Allah alone at all times.

Protecting Tawheed
