Part 1: Praise and Reminder
All praise is for Allah, the Most Merciful, Most Compassionate. He created us to worship Him, sent His messengers and revealed His books to guide us. From the very first human, Prophet Adam ﷺ, there has been a fight between Allah’s guidance and Satan. Satan tried to mislead Adam ﷺ and his children and he keeps trying to misguide people today. The Prophet ﷺ said that prayer is the comfort of his eyes. Prayer protects us from bad deeds and disbelief. Missing it or delaying it is a big loss. Always pray on time and with focus.
Part 2: Ways Satan Tries to Mislead People
Satan has helpers from jinn and humans. They try to confuse Muslims. Some ways they do this:
- Making people doubt Allah or the Qur’an
- Making people ignore the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ
- Tempting people with bad habits like alcohol or chasing desires
- Confusing people with false arguments or tricks online and in media
One dangerous trick today is called the “Qur’ani-only” idea. Some people say: “We should only follow the Qur’an not the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.”
Part 3: Why We Must Follow the Sunnah
Some people use the Qur’an to reject the Sunnah. But this is wrong! Allah Himself tells us in the Qur’an to obey Him AND His Messenger ﷺ.
Proofs from the Qur’an:
- “Obey Allah and obey the Messenger…” [An-Nisa: 59]
- “We sent the Reminder (the Prophet ﷺ) to explain things clearly” [An-Nahl: 44]
- Following the Prophet ﷺ helps us understand how to pray, fast, give zakat and perform hajj properly.
The Sunnah is like a guidebook that shows us how to follow the Qur’an in real life. Without it, we cannot understand or practice the religion fully.
Part 4: Tricks of People Who Reject the Sunnah
Some people say:
- “Can we really know the Hadith after 1400 years?”
- “Why do we follow Bukhari or Muslim?”
Answer:
- The Hadith were preserved carefully by scholars and verified. The Prophet ﷺ taught and Allah promised to protect the Qur’an and the Sunnah.
- Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim didn’t create the Hadith; they collected, checked and organized what was already true.
- Just because someone is not perfect doesn’t mean what they did was wrong. Experts studied the Hadith for hundreds of years to make sure they were correct.
Part 5: Using Our Mind the Right Way
Some people use their own opinion to decide what is right or wrong instead of following the Qur’an and Sunnah. This is wrong!
- Our minds are different and can make mistakes.
- Allah is the only one who knows what is best.
- We must use our minds to understand the Qur’an and Sunnah, not to ignore them.
Part 6: How This Affects Our Daily Life
If we ignore the Sunnah, we might:
- Pray or fast the wrong way
- Miss important rules of zakat and hajj
- Follow bad habits or false ideas online
- Confuse others, especially children
Even children can be affected by social media, YouTube and TikTok. We must teach ourselves and others the correct guidance.
Part 7: Simple Examples
- The Palace Example: Imagine an expert built a beautiful palace. Scholars praise it for centuries. If someone who knows nothing criticizes it, it doesn’t make the palace bad. That’s like the Hadith that experts verified them, so they are correct.
- The Qur’an and Sunnah Example: If you want to pray or fast correctly, you need both. The Qur’an tells you what to do but the Sunnah shows you exactly how.
Part 8: Key Lessons
- Don’t reject the Sunnah. It is part of Allah’s guidance.
- The Qur’an and Sunnah work together; one cannot replace the other.
- Pray with focus and follow the Prophet ﷺ in every action.
- Teach children about the Qur’an and Sunnah; protect them from doubts.
- Beware of people who try to make religion easy or “Qur’an-only.”
Part 9: Final Du’a (Supplication)
“O Allah, help us follow the Qur’an and Sunnah. Make us understand Your guidance and protect us from being misled by Satan or by wrong ideas. Accept our prayers, forgive our mistakes and guide our hearts to Your love. Ameen.”
